2025 HEARTH EMMY’S ROSÉ

HELENA VISTA VINEYARD  •  KNIGHTS VALLEY AVA

Tasting Notes

This Cabernet Franc rosé opens with wild strawberry, raspberry and watermelon, layered with rose petal, white peach and citrus blossom. The palate is dry and generous, with juicy red fruit, subtle floral complexity and a smooth, rounded texture. Fresh acidity brings definition through the finish, with lingering notes of pink grapefruit, strawberry and a delicate savory edge.

Helena Vista Vineyard

The Cabernet Franc comes from the highest-elevation eastern block of Helena Vista Vineyard in Knights Valley, planted on a sloping, well-drained alluvial fan of gravelly Cortina loam. The rocky soils and hillside position naturally limit vine vigor, contributing concentration and freshness while preserving Cabernet Franc’s distinctive aromatic character.

The 2025 growing season was notably mild, with steady winter rains followed by a long, cool summer and few significant heat events. The extended, even ripening period allowed Cabernet Franc to develop flavor and phenolic maturity gradually while cool late-season nights helped preserve freshness and acidity. Harvested on September 25, 2025.

Winemaking Notes

Fermentation: Fermentation began with a carefully sequenced series of non-Saccharomyces yeasts, each selected to build layers of fruit, floral character, freshness and texture while consuming a portion of the sugar with reduced alcohol production. The fermentation was then completed with IOC Di Vina, a blend of Hanseniaspora vineae and Saccharomyces cerevisiae, adding further aromatic complexity while carrying the wine cleanly to dryness.
Aging: Stainless, 4 months
Alcohol: 14% ABV
